Enforcement

  • Investigate and take appropriate action in response to public health and sanitation complaints for example overgrown grass, food, animal nuisance, illegal dumping, improper wastewater disposal, open fires, sewage overflows, etc.
  • Issue appropriate intimation, Statutory and fixed penalty notices and institute legal action upon non-compliances
  • Conduct systematic inspections of premises to ensure compliance
  • Referral of complaints to relevant authorities.

Solid Waste Management

  • Waste Minimization and Recycling Promotion Project: includes clean schools program, home composting, green waste chipping, promotion of eco bags, collection of recyclables, etc.
  • Garbage/Recyclable collection Services;

Residential Areas:

Garbage- Twice a week

Recyclables- Twice a month

Commercial: Garbage- 6 day per week

Industrial: Garbage- 3 days per week

Food Safety Programs

  • Systematic inspections of premises for issuance/renewal of health license and health permits.
  • Regular Monitoring and surveillance of Food Operating Business for compliance
  • Conduct grading exercises for restaurants
  • Conduct and create awareness and training for food businesses and food handlers.
  • Investigate and take appropriate action for non-compliance

Building Works

  • Scrutinize and process building applications
  • Carry out building inspection for Completion Compliance

Disease Surveillance and Monitoring Works

  • Carry out clean-up campaigns for mosquito/rodent control and disease prevention.
  • Larval surveys
  • Investigation and surveillance of diseases like Leptospirosis, Typhoid, Dengue (LTDs) etc.

Public Amenities/Facility upkeep, cleanliness and hygiene

  • Monitoring of public places such as road verges, parks, gardens, footpath, drains, open spaces and public beaches.
  • Regular inspection of all public conveniences to ensure that it is maintained in clean and hygienic condition at all times.

 Health promotion and awareness Programs

  • Carry out health awareness, promotion, monitoring and evaluation works within communities and schools
