The Fiji Resilient Informal Settlements (FRIS) is a project implemented by the Ministry of Housing and Community Development, the Ministry of Local Government, the four Municipal Councils of Nadi, Lami, Lautoka and Sigatoka, and UN-Habitat. We work with 16 informal settlements that are severely affected by climate change on increasing the communities’ resilience and adaptive capacities.
The project just completed the assessment phase.
The Nadi Town Council appreciated the kind donation of books by his Excellency the Acting Indian High Commissioner Mr. S. C. Sahoo and Mr. Sanjay Kumar (Political & Publicity) on Friday 11th of September, 2020.
During the donation ceremony Mr Craig Powell (CEO Nadi Town Council) and the management team were in attendance in the Council Chamber.
The purpose of the Library is to provide a good resource centre to students and the general public for their intellectual capacity and knowledge. The donation received is very rich in Indian Culture and Heritage.
